The Perseid meteor shower is an annual celestial event where Earth passes through the debris left behind by the Comet Swift-Tuttle. As these debris particles, often no larger than grains of sand, enter Earth's atmosphere, they burn up and create bright streaks of light across the night sky. This annual event usually occurs from mid-July to late August, peaking around August 11-13.
